Diana Ratsamee brings a set shaped by movement, memory, and tradition—created in celebration of Lao New Year. Blending sounds from her travels across Asia with field recordings and folk music from Laos and Isan, her mix bridges time and place, echoing the rhythms of both home and journey. Raised in the diaspora, Diana’s sound lives between cultures—where genres meet, and borders blur. Midway through the set, she returns to her roots, weaving in the hypnotic melodies of her childhood: sounds of family, celebration, and deep connection. A DJ, community organizer, and founder of SEA Vinyl Society, Diana also hosts Eastern Echoes on KEXP—where each week she explores the music and stories of Asia and its diaspora.
