Run London / Draw London - Episode 1

I’m Dan, a professional illustrator running the London Marathon for Team Oxfam, and I’ve set myself a ridiculous creative challenge to raise money. https://www.justgiving.com/page/dan-w... Run London / Draw London is the first in a series of videos that will serve as a training/studio vlog, where I’ll be sharing my training progress along with work/life updates and creative process breakdowns of one of the most ambitious illustration ideas I’ve ever taken on. I have this kind of mad idea for fundraising which blends my two passions for running and detailed drawings, with my pathological need to do very time consuming/challenging things. Alongside my training, I’m launching a VERY ambitious illustration project I'm calling 'Crowd Fund a Crowd Scene'. Where I'm going to attempt to draw one of the biggest crowd scene illustrations I've EVER done of the London Marathon...But I need YOUR help. For a small donation, you can list ANY character you like and I'll draw them into the marathon scene. A horse in disco boots. A watermelon frying an egg. A ghost playing the saxophone. A friend, or someone you know running the race. You?? ANYONE. Donate. Suggest a character. Then I’ll add them into a HUGE illustration. Donation Guide £5 = 1 character suggestion added to the illustration £10 = 2 character suggestions (double the chaos) £20 = 4 character suggestions (bring a whole crew) £50 = 10 character suggestions (full supporting cast energy) £100 = 25 character suggestions (absolute legend tier) Goal: £2,000 That’s roughly 400 wonderfully strange characters cheering on the London Marathon. Together, we’ll build the most joyful, ridiculous, and community-powered marathon crowd imaginable, all while raising money for Oxfam 💚 Thanks for your support!
